My first blog post. The AKASO portable pico projector.

Hello everyone welcome to my first blog post! I am so excited to start this blog and share as much as I can with all of you. I have been wanting a projector forever, mainly for adding writing to my cookies and also for those character cookies that I definitely cannot freehand. After doing my research on many other projectors, I decided to purchase this one. The main reason I got this one was because it is wireless! You don’t need to buy additional cables to get this running. I have an iphone and it connects via the screen mirroring. You just connect your phone to the AKASO wifi and that’s it! You can also connect with you Android phone, I’m not sure how since I dont have an Android, but you get all the instructions in the box. It also has an HDMI port and it comes with the cable too, so if you want to use your laptop to connect you can do that too. The only thing I noticed is that since I am using my phone your phone must always stay on (duh, if your phone shuts off then its gonna mirror a dark screen..lol) So just make sure your phone is charged and you change your phone settings to not power off while you are working. Otherwise the screen will shut off and you will have to re-connect again, which I learned the annoying way.

I purchased the projector from Amazon for $199, I also got insurance for it ($7, cant beat that)! I have had it for a few weeks and so far its good! It also acts as a power source if you need to charge your phone whenever you’re not using it. I have an Arkon Mount that holds my projector while I’m working and it works just fine! I would say it lasts me a good 1.5-2 hours to work without charging it. You can always leave it plugged in to the power source so you don’t have to worry about it shutting off on you. I know there is also an app that helps you connect and I believe you can store pictures on there too, I haven’t played with it too much, but it probably would be good to store all your upcoming images you will need for easy access. It also comes with a remote control which is probably good when you are projecting movies.

This is my Arkon Mount..if you are looking to get one code: jayscookiebox saves you 20% at checkout

I think that’s it…I’m pretty sure I left something out, but I think I got all the important parts..if you have any questions just let me know!
